About this role

The Virtual CIO (vCIO) / Technology Success Manager is the dedicated strategic partner for our clients, focused entirely on aligning their technology roadmap with their overarching business goals. This is a high-impact, non-sales role that drives measurable results by proactively transforming IT from a mere expense into a true competitive advantage. You will lead strategic planning, manage technology budgets, and ensure our services deliver maximum value and support client growth.

What you’ll do

  • Act as the dedicated strategic partner and trusted technology advisor to key client stakeholders and executives.
  • Develop, maintain, and present the client's comprehensive technology roadmap and budget plan for the coming 12–36 months.
  • Conduct regular quarterly business reviews (QBRs) to assess service performance, discuss technology challenges, and communicate the ROI of SecureSkye’s services.
  • Ensure client IT environments maintain compliance standards and identify strategic opportunities for adopting new security, cloud, or efficiency solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales and Technical Teams to translate client business needs into specific IT projects and service improvements.
  • Manage the client relationship at a strategic level, ensuring high client satisfaction and driving long-term retention.
  • Review service consumption and health metrics to ensure clients are leveraging their services optimally and maintaining security best practices.

Requirements

  • Proven professional experience (4+ years) in a strategic IT consulting, Account Management, or similar high-level relationship management role, preferably within an MSP environment.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to link technology decisions directly to financial and operational business outcomes.
  • Deep knowledge of IT infrastructure, security best practices (including compliance), and cloud service offerings.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with the ability to lead executive-level discussions and simplify complex technical concepts.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and managing IT budgets and technology roadmaps.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field is highly preferred.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, or advanced cloud certifications) are a plus.
