About this role
As a Software / Cloud Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and secure cloud infrastructure and applications for our clients. You will bridge the gap between development and operations, focusing on continuous deployment, automation, and optimizing cloud resources to ensure high performance and reliability. This position requires strong expertise in modern cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and proficiency in development languages and DevOps practices.
What you’ll do
- Design, deploy, and manage highly available and fault-tolerant cloud environments (e.g., using infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation).
- Develop and implement CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery and deployment processes.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code for client applications and internal tools (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Go).
- Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive scaling and capacity planning measures.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure applications are architected for optimal cloud security, resilience, and cost efficiency.
- Implement and maintain security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and network security protocols.
- Manage and optimize containerization technologies (e.g., Docker and Kubernetes).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven professional experience as a Software Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or DevOps Engineer.
- Strong proficiency in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
- Solid experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Expertise in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
- Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and strong communication abilities to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Relevant cloud certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator Associate) is highly desirable.
